Excellent book(s) on yogic and spirtual life style

On the Wings of the Swan is a 6-set volume, compilation of questions asked by disciples/ bhakts and answers provided by Swami Niranjan, during the satsangs conducted in eighties and nineties at Ganga darshan, Munger. The topics covered are extensive and varied, addressing countless aspects of yoga, yogic lifestyle and spiritual life. All the questions and answers are relevant even today, after 25 years and will be relevant eternally.
Why the name 'On the wings of the swan'? Hansa / Hans or Swan is associated with Saraswati, the supreme of Goddess of Wisdom and learning. In Hindu mythology, Hans or Swan is a sacred bird, which if offered a mixture of milk and water, is said to be able to drink the milk alone. It thus symbolizes the ability to discriminate between good and evil, essence from outward show and the eternal from the evanescent. The swan is also a symbolism for spiritual perfection, transcendence and moksha in Hindu mythology. Swan protects its infant babies by keeping them on the wings.
The books are a must read for spiritual yoga followers and who don't live in India or close to Yogashrams.

This 4 volume set will probably answer every question you ever had on the spiritual path. Volume 1 contains many, many questions and answers, recorded from satsangs with Swami Niranjan in the 1990s. It is FANTASTIC. Read one satsang per day as a part of your practice or just scan the index for a topic you have questions about. Every single book that comes from Bihar School of Yoga is extremely clear, excellently written, and pertinent to the modern world in which we live. They are all lights upon the path and a great blessing to all.
