About the Author
Brett M. Decker is the editorial page editor of the Washington Times and an adjunct professor of government at Johns Hopkins University. A former governor of the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents’ Club, he has been an editor and writer for the Wall Street Journal, speechwriter to Majority Whip Tom DeLay in the U.S. House of Representatives, and has served as senior vice president for the Export-Import Bank and Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Keeping an eye on facts

There is room for plenty of disagreement about how China and America will interact in the future and what our policies should be to shape that reality. What there is not room for is a fantastical view of China that ascribes our differences to mere accidents of culture, history or national interest. China and the United States differ for one reason -- because the Chinese government is run by and for the world's most powerful, murderous and amoral gang of thugs. True the Chinese government has evolved, but only from one that openly celebrates murder while broadcasting calls for more to a nation that keeps those celebrations a little more private and has hired a fancy PR firm.
What Brett Decker and Bill Triplett have done is strip away the PR firm and let everyone who wants to see Chinese government for what it really is -- a murderous enemy of its own people and a threat to everything real civilization has achieved. Only on the basis of that reality can anyone hope to come to grips with what will be America's greatest challenge for decades to come.

Bowing to Beijing

Brett M. Decker and William C. Triplett II jolt readers of "Bowing to Beijing" with the realization that China is no longer a benign and faraway land that makes a lot of inexpensive stuff that Americans buy at Wal-Mart. The authors lay out the facts about a rising superpower that is poised to challenge the United States for military and economic supremacy in very short order. While the U.S. has no entitlement to its current No. 1 position, the fact is the nation has been a force for peace and stability in the post-World War II era. In contrast, China has continually violated fundamental human rights of both its own citizens and its neighbors, as the authors point out. Never having renounced its communist roots, Red China is raising red flags over its global intentions.
Sadly, with Barack Obama in the White House, America is losing its capacity to serve as a counterweight to an imperialist China. The president apparently shares with this nation's detractors the view that the U.S. has been a malevolent force on the world stage and has taken every opportunity to apologize for America's behavior. In doing so, he sends a signal to China and other ill-intentioned adversaries that the days of the U.S. as a world power are past and consequently, they're free to pursue their goals unimpeded.
If Americans allow the president to carry out the nation's withdrawal from its leadership role, the consequences are likely to be unpleasant and long-lasting. Decker and Triplett have done a service by detailing the dangers of "Bowing to Beijing" and I strongly recommend it to readers.

Must Read - China is highjacking America's Future!

"Bowing to Beijing" is very important to read to learn about all the ways China breaks the established rules of business and trade to get ahead. The communists don't believe in fair play. This book by Brett M. Decker and Bill Triplett shows how the PRC sends armies of tech spies to trade shows here in America to steal commercial secrets from U.S. companies so Chinese firms can make products cheaper because their pricing is free of the huge costs of research and development. No wonder everything at the store is made in China: They rip off our design blueprints and use slave/prison/child/dirt-poor workers to build the junk -- avoiding all health, safety, environmental and labor laws at every step of the process. Americans need to put their collective foot down and do something about the China threat. Buy "Made in the USA" -- and buy "Bowing to Beijing" to see why you must.
